Seaport Video (01.08.2019)
Al wanted to make a top 4 things to do in the Seaport video, but we agreed it needed an edge to make it stand out. We decided on a dramatic intro scene with all the agents rushing to their cars. I would then get exterior shots of the 4 places we chose, but I didn't have anything to bridge the two scenes, which were extremely different in tone. Luckily, it happened to be sunny when I shot in the Seaport. I had an idea of a scene to bridge the two. However, Al didn't really understand what I was trying to explain. I realized that it would be better to show him, so I reluctantly got him to shoot a test scene for me. When I showed him the rough cut, he loved it!
WATER BALLON FIGHT (07.04.2019)
From conception to execution, this video changed dramatically. I was supposed to have 6-8 agents coming into the office to shoot a slow motion water balloon fight video. But on the day of the shoot, only 2 agents were could make it. So I used that as a plot point in the video, including myself as character as well. The video became about how I was going to shoot this awesome video, but nobody showed up. Suzanne happened to be there in the beginning, so I shot her scene first with me scaring her out of the office because she didn't want to be in the video. I had the agents who couldn't make it send me videos about how they were busy. When we went to go shoot the "water balloon fight," Al and Dave happened to be in the parking lot in their truck. So we had them come surprise the two agents at the beach by attacking them with water balloons. I learned that things are never going to go as planned and that I have to improvise to get a video done. And it turned out to be one of my most creative and favorite videos.
This Is Access (2.21.19)
Al and Dave wanted me to make more videos and take the reins. So I threw this together over a few days. I wrote a script, recorded myself doing a voiceover and then went through all the old footage from previous videos and unused footage to make this quick and easy video that hit on exactly what the company does and how they want it portrayed.
Lunar New Year 2019 (01.31.2019)
Suzanne approached me wanting to make a video about the Vietnamese New Year celebration happening in the Boston area. I wanted to make it more encompassing of the Lunar New Year as a whole. I also wanted to highlight the fact that Suzanne speaks a bit of Vietnamese. Kevin had just joined the team and he is fluent in Mandarin. So I decided to put them both in one video. We talked about the content the day before and shot the next day. The office has great natural lighting and it's long enough to create a good depth of field in the background. I setup up my main camera on a tripod and three lights to make their faces more prominent. I used my second camera handheld to break it up a bit, along with some b-roll I shot at the Vietnamese New Year celebration. I did some off camera work during the shoot to help Suzanne feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Holiday Video (12.25.2018)
Real estate agents can be difficult to corral because of their hectic and ever-changing schedule. I had 25 minutes to give people their lines, block them out in the hallway, run through the scene once, and shoot it. Unfortunately, after the first take was done, two of the agents had to leave. Thankfully, I shot the opening sequence before in about 45 minutes. This whole experience was an exercise in prioritization and trusting my abilities.

Recruitment Video (11.15.2018)
This video with Erik was the first one I made with Access. We actually shot it when they were a part of a different real estate company. Funny story, I actually had to shoot video twice. I forgot a memory card for the audio recorder the first time and the audio from camera was unusable. Thankfully, Erik was willing to shoot it again. It was a happy accident because the second time we shot it, we found a much better, dynamic backdrop. Also, we had to reshoot all the b-roll to match the new company. Since Al didn't like the yellow text in the Instagram captions, we changed the font and styling to align with their property sheets and newsletters.
